The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced Associate Director Acquisition and Retention to drive university-wide student acquisition, conversion and retention activities for both domestic and international audiences. As part of the Marketing team, the Associate Director will lead a specialist team responsible for enquiry management, direct communications, advertising campaigns, marketing automation and related conversion activities. Your success in this role is underpinned by your strong leadership skills to provide clear direction and implementation of the university’s various strategies to support its goals to be one of the leading universities nationally and globally.

Reporting to the Director Marketing, you will manage an integrated prospective student acquisition and conversion strategy and develop a current student retention strategy.  You will influence all the touch points throughout the student journey, providing timely and high-quality content to assist students’ purchase decisions and to support the university’s retention goals. A passion for all things digital and experience in developing engaging content for domestic and international audiences is essential.  Your experience with managing marketing automation systems would be highly valued. 

As an experienced leader, you will apply your advanced management and communication skills to engage stakeholders across the university to increase Marketing’s ability to deliver outstanding results. You will lead a team of highly-skilled specialist staff, experts in their individual fields, eager to find new and innovative solutions to recruitment and retention challenges. Experience in managing budgets is essential; demonstrated experience in achieving outstanding results with small budgets is preferred.
