The University of Canberra is seeking a Risk and Insurance Coordinator to join the Risk and Audit team within the Office of the General Counsel and University Secretary. As part of the team, this role contributes to the effective management of the University’s insurance portfolio.

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the University’s insurance program, including contract management of the insurance broker and coordination of the annual insurance.  You will also assist with the implementation and reporting of the University’s resilience management arrangements, including risk management, business continuity planning and critical incident management.  As a strong communicator, you will be expected to maintain stakeholder relationships, provide an excellent level of client service, and assist with the delivery of training and facilitation of workshops. Additionally, this position will require you to prepare quarterly reports for the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

As an individual with interest in the risk and insurance sector, you will have previously worked in a similar role and hold qualifications in a related field. Apart from the relevant training and experience, your ability to communicate and influence various levels of stakeholders will be highly looked upon. As this is a new position within the team, you will have the opportunity to gain additional skills that will pave the way for future career opportunities within the University.
