The University of Canberra has a unique opportunity for a Director in Government and Policy to join the Relations and Strategy team. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting the organisation’s goals to be one of the leading Universities in the nation and world.

The University Relations and Strategy (URS) portfolio is responsible for leading, integrating, representing and promoting the University of Canberra’s position, presence, and relationships within the higher education sector and beyond, and for supporting the University’s goal to be one of the leading Universities in the nation and the world.

The Director of Government and Policy will be responsible for leading government relations on behalf of the University and will support the Executive in high-level political engagement at both a Federal and local level. 

The Director will oversee the function of Government and Policy and manage a small team to monitor public policy and legislation as it relates to Higher Education and research. This will be in line with the University’s priorities to deliver key objectives and ensure UC is continually building on future opportunities in the education arena.
