About the opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and innovative Educational Game Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves maintaining and improving educational games and experiences for web platforms using the Unity Game Engine. The successful candidate will collaborate with academic and professional staff, provide technical insights, and work closely with the data engineering team to integrate games into our bespoke backend platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization to meet quality, usability, and compatibility standards across devices.
  2. Collaborate with academic and professional staff to integrate assets, animations, and features.
  3. Provide technical insights and creative problem-solving during brainstorming and design reviews.
  4. Work with the data engineering team to integrate games into the bespoke backend platform.
  5. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support ongoing development and collaboration.

  Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in game development using Unity.
  • Strong coding skills in C# and experience with web-based platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with educational content and platforms is desirable.
