About the role:

Our Finance & Analytics business unit sits at the heart of UC’s mission to transform lives through teaching, research and innovation, turning numbers into narratives that steer strategy. We are currently seeking 2 x Insights and Market Research Specialists to work as part of a tight-knit team of professionals. The role is to deliver market insights that power bold ideas and smart decisions across the University.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to meet the strategic needs of the university.
  • Act as a trusted source of market intelligence on student and university trends
  • Assist in the development of new course ideas and course reviews by providing thorough research and analysis.
  • Synthesise complex data across multiple sources to create meaningful insights for university stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with Faculty, Marketing, Learning & Teaching and senior management to understand their needs and deliver relevant insights.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by expanding our data sources and championing best-practice analytics tools and visualisations.

  • Qualifications in marketing, research, statistics, or other business disciplines is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in market research, insights or analytics.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Skills in data visualisation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and proven ability to craft compelling, stakeholder-friendly reports.
  • Influential stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
  • A proactive and agile mindset with a knack for connecting the dots across data and between projects.
  • Passionate problem solver with the “big picture” in mind.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently manage diverse streams of work.
