About the role:
Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with a strong interest in education and student development? The University of Canberra is seeking a dedicated Clinical Liaison Nurse (CLN) to join our fast-paced team for a 7-month fixed term contract. This role supports and assess Nursing students during their Professional Experience Placements (PEP). As a CLN, you will foster strong relationships between students, healthcare facilities, and the University, ensuring a high-quality learning experience in diverse clinical settings.
Key responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Nursing Profession Practice Convenor and Unit Convenors, the CLN will:
Support nursing students during work integrated learning (WIL) in clinical environments.
Build Develop and maintain strong communication channels between students, industry stakeholders, and the University of Canberra within clinical settings.
Facilitate placements across various healthcare settings, including night shifts, weekends, and international locations.
Lead group learning activities
Monitor and assist students in developing clinical competencies.
Conduct clinical assessments and maintain effective communication with students and partners.
About you:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Substantial experience in general nursing and recent clinical practice.
Experience as a clinical educator would be highly regarded.
Postgraduate qualification in Nursing and understanding of higher education systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer applications and information systems.
Commitment to equity and workplace health and safety.
Knowledge of clinical placement environments and university administrative systems is advantageous.
