About the opportunity:
The University Secretariat, part of the Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a skilled Secretariat Manager to support the University’s governance functions. The team provides high-level administrative services to University Council, Academic Board and their sub-committees ensuring best practice in governance. Other team roles include communications, SRC governance, elections, and aspects of graduations.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the University Secretary, you’ll primarily manage academic governance operations including Academic Board and committees — ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, coordinating meetings, and preparing agendas, papers and minutes to a high standard – while also having opportunity to work across the breadth of the team’s remit.
Requirements:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as you’ll liaise with committee members and staff, provide expert governance advice, and maintain confidentiality.
