About the role:

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Canberra is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Midwifery to join our supportive team committed to graduating confident, capable, and compassionate midwives ready to make a difference in their communities.

In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, learning, and research within the Bachelor of Midwifery and related postgraduate programs. Collaboration and communication are at the heart of what we do.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate engaging undergraduate and postgraduate course materials.
  • Support students through effective communication and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure teaching quality and consistency.

 You will bring:

  • A PhD or current enrolment in a PhD (in Midwifery or a related field).
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in teaching.
  • A genuine passion for preparing work-ready midwives who can make a difference in our communities.
