About the opportunity:
Are you passionate about shaping the future of nursing education? The University of Canberra is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer in Nursing to join our Faculty of Health. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching, student support, and academic service in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Reporting to the Discipline Lead, Nursing, you will play a key role in delivering and evaluating undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs. With support from senior staff, you’ll engage in a wide range of academic activities that foster student success and contribute to the growth of the discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, deliver, and evaluate course materials for undergraduate and postgraduate programs
Prepare and lead lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, and workshops
Provide pastoral care and academic support to students
Communicate effectively with staff, including sessional team members
Conduct marking and assessment activities
Undertake administrative duties relevant to the position
Participate in professional activities and contribute to the University community
Attend School and Faculty meetings and serve on committees as appropriate
Requirements:
A PhD in Nursing is preferred; candidates currently undertaking doctoral studies are also encouraged to apply
Unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Nurse in Australia
