You will work collaboratively as part of the leadership team to design, deliver and coordinate an engaging and innovative learning environment. You will also play a key role in the development of active research program that attracts sustainable external funding. This is an integrated leadership role that includes learning and teaching, research and industry engagement.
You will be known for your collaborative and adaptive leadership style with high level interpersonal skills and will hold a PhD in Optometry along with AHPRA registration as a therapeutically endorsed optometrist (or an ability to work towards this).

At the Level E appointment, you may be expected to serve in the role of Discipline Lead for a specified term. This role will involve engagement in faculty and university strategic planning and implementation, mentoring other staff, senior internal and external representation and contributing to the creation of a positive workplace culture that lives the university values.
At the Level D appointment, you may be expected to serve in the role of Discipline Lead for a specified term. This role will involve making contributions to the undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and research in the Discipline of Optometry and Vision Science.
