About the Role:
As the coordinator of the Academic Skills and Knowledge (ASK) Advisors , you will manage this peer casual team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client services to students, staff, and the broader UC community—both online and on campus. This is your opportunity to shape a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in a flagship peer support service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and mentor the ASK Advisor team to deliver high-quality academic support
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Collaborate across Library teams and university stakeholders to enhance service delivery
Ensure consistent, high-impact support for both online and on-campus users
Oversee rostering, supervision, and day-to-day operations of the ASK Advisor service
Manage training programs to ensure staff are equipped to meet evolving needs
Engage with stakeholders to deliver a strong, client-focused experience
Contribute to the management of the physical collection and promotion of academic resources
What We’re Looking For:
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Strong background in academic or library support services
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven ability to drive service innovation and continuous improvement
Experience in training, supervision, and rostering
Knowledge of collection management practices
Eligibility for professional membership with ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) is essential
