About the opportunity:
This people-centred role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, interpreting policy, and implementing practical solutions that support student success.
As the first point of contact for students, you’ll provide tailored career advice, develop study plans, and offer compassionate pastoral care. A background in higher education is advantageous, as it helps you understand the unique needs and expectations of university students.
We’re looking for someone who is self-driven, student-focused, and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The role also involves participating in key campus events—including orientation and open day—which may require occasional after-hours availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for students and staff, providing course-level information and general guidance in a friendly and professional manner
Respond to enquiries across multiple channels including drop in, email, and phone enquiries
Develop, update, and maintain student study plans, ensuring alignment with academic requirements and individual goals
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve student issues
Provide secretariat support
Contribute to the review, development and continuous improvement of student focused systems, processes and procedures;
Requirements:
Confidently navigate and utilise university-specific databases and systems, demonstrating a high level of digital literacy and adaptability
Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, exercising sound judgement, tact, and discretion in all interactions and decision-making
