About the role:

As a Clinical Liaison Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Bachelor and Master of Nursing students during their Professional Experience Placement (PEP). Acting as the key link between students, clinical settings, and the University of Canberra, you will help shape meaningful placement experiences while strengthening partnerships across the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support nursing students undertaking PEP in a variety of health care facilities, settings and specialties on rotating rosters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including clinical leaders and nursing staff.
  • Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support those requiring additional development.
  • Facilitate high-quality placement experiences that align with both university and industry expectations.

About you:

You are an experienced and compassionate AHPRA Registered Nurse who brings strong clinical insight, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning in real-world settings. To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse and recent clinical experience in general Nursing settings.
  • Completed or working towards a postgraduate qualification in Nursing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and confidence using digital systems and administrative tools.
  • The ability to manage diverse situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
