About the opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer in Speech Pathology to join our Health Faculty.

This role combines Education and Research, offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the academic, clinical, and professional landscape.

We invite applicants with expertise in any of the following areas: disability (across the lifespan), adult neurological disorders, dysphagia (across the lifespan), trauma/mental health, or SLPs working within the justice system.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across various modes, including interactive workshops and virtual classroom settings.
  • Combine theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise to create engaging and practical learning experiences.
  • Ensure students for real-world challenges through comprehensive education and training.
  • Engage in innovative research that informs and enhances teaching practices
  • Empower students with cutting-edge research and practical skills to excel in clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum within the Speech Pathology discipline.
  • Engage with students in both classroom and clinical settings, providing guidance and support to enhance their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to advance academic initiatives and participate in research activities as applicable.
  • Stay current with developments in your field to ensure the teaching content is relevant and up-to-date.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A PhD, in Speech Pathology OR A Masters with a willingness to work towards a PhD
