About the role:
Join a dynamic team committed to fostering the participation, retention, and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education. The Ngunnawal Centre serves as the heart of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student community, providing comprehensive support throughout their academic journey at UC.
As an Indigenous Student Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students through tailored advice, case management, and the development of innovative engagement programs. You will contribute to the success of our students by implementing and evaluating initiatives that build a vibrant and supportive academic environment.
About you:
Experience in managing complex clients and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Strong customer service skills and empathetic, calming demeanour.
Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues.
Confident communicator, able to work independently and engage effectively.
Passionate about cultural competency and reconciliation.
Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
Flexibility to participate in on-campus events and engage clearly
