About the opportunity:
We are seeking a Learning Design Officer to help progress the design and student experience of the Virtual Village, an online platform hosted in Canvas created to foster connection and community for online learners.
This role will focus on co-designing inclusive, accessible and student-centred content. You will work with a small team to curate resources, interactive features and culturally responsive learning materials to support the student experience for diverse cohorts, including online, remote and non-Bruce campus learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-design inclusive, student-centred content with support services and student representatives
Ensure all content meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and uses inclusive language
Curate and embed study skills, academic and personal development resources
Collaboration and consultation with students and incorporating feedback into content structure and tone
Work with technical teams to integrate learning resources into the platform
Support multilingual, culturally responsive content and continuously refine materials based on user feedback
