About the opportunity:

Our UC Health Clinics integrate high-quality, affordable allied health services with hands-on student education for the Canberra community. The UC Health Clinics are now embarking on an exciting strategic realignment to embed a strong, practice-based research portfolio, and we are seeking a high-performing Post-Doctoral Researcher to help lead this next phase.

Reporting to the Academic Lead (Clinics Convenor) and working closely with the Associate Dean of Work Integrated Learning, you will lead and deliver evaluation and research projects focused on student-led services within UC Health Clinics.

Please note this is a fully onsite role, commencing as soon as possible and concluding in December 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead independent research aligned with UC Health Clinics priorities
  • Design and deliver evaluation projects within student-led clinical services
  • Prepare ethics submissions, manage data collection and undertake rigorous analysis and publish impactful research in high-quality journals and present findings at academic forums
  • Collaborate closely with clinical educators, professional staff, students and health consumers

About You:

You are an independent and motivated researcher who is confident leading projects end-to-end. You communicate with clarity and professionalism, and build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

You will bring a PhD in a health discipline (or equivalent research experience), and a demonstrated capacity to independently produce research outputs within defined timeframes.

Clinical experience in a discipline relevant to UC Health Clinics, such as Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics or Optometry is favourable but not essential.
