About the role:

Student Connect is at the heart of the University of Canberra's student administration services, supporting students from enrolment through to graduation. We are looking for a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to join the team and contribute to the effective administration of student enrolments, international student compliance, fees, scholarships, sponsorships, academic progress and course completion activities. Working closely with Faculties and key stakeholders across the University, we are committed to providing seamless, efficient and student-focused services that enhance the overall student experience.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, you will provide specialist advice and coordination across a range of student administration functions. You will work collaboratively with Faculties, professional units and external partners to ensure students receive accurate and timely support throughout their studies. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on complex enrolment, fee, scholarship, sponsorship, academic progress and course completion matters
  • Coordinating and administering the University's Academic Progress Procedure
  • Managing student progression information within the Student Management System, including credit, course variations, probation and suspension outcomes
  • Working closely with Faculties and the Partnerships Office to ensure accurate enrolment and fee charging for offshore and sponsored students
  • Coordinating course completion processes and identifying students eligible to graduate
  • Supporting business process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery across the student lifecycle
  • Contributing to key projects and collaborative initiatives across the University

  • Demonstrated experience in student administration in higher education
  • Strong knowledge of policy interpretation and the ability to apply procedures consistently and accurately
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, building effective relationships across diverse groups
  • Ability to take ownership of key business operations processes
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide clear advice on complex matters
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a healthy dose of resilience
